Effects of vitamin E on neurodegenerative diseases: an update
نویسندگان
چکیده
Vitamin E deficiency is associated with many neurological problems. Although the mechanisms of vitamin action in neurodegenerative diseases are not clear, there possible mechanisms. Examples such protective effects against oxidative stress damage and its suppressive role expression genes involved development neurodegeneration. Many studies have evaluated relationship between intake or levels body fluids diseases. Some concluded that can play a neurodegeneration respect to as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), stroke amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). supplementation was also risk factors for some In this review, we discuss on course AD, PD, ALS, potential involved.

Sirtuins in neurodegenerative diseases: an update on potential mechanisms
Silent information regulator 2 proteins (sirtuins or SIRTs) are a group of deacetylases (or deacylases) whose activities are dependent on and regulated by nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD(+)). Compelling evidence supports that sirtuins play major roles in many aspects of physiology, especially in pathways related to aging - the predominant and unifying risk factor for neurodegenerative di...
متن کاملVitamin E in ataxia and neurodegenerative diseases: A review
Vitamin E is one of the most important lipid-soluble antioxidants. It is essential for the neurological function but its role in the central nervous system has not fully been elucidated. It is known that tocopherol acts in protecting cell membranes from oxidative damage and it can act as an anti-inflammatory agent, which may also be neuroprotective, as well as regulating specific enzymes. There...

gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...
An update on vitamin E, tocopherol and tocotrienol-perspectives.
Vitamin E, like tocotrienols and tocopherols, is constituted of compounds essential for animal cells. Vitamin E is exclusively synthesized by photosynthetic eukaryotes and other oxygenic photosynthetic organisms such as cyanobacteria. In order to prevent lipid oxidation, the plants mainly accumulate tocochromanols in oily seeds and fruits or in young tissues undergoing active cell divisions. Fr...
متن کاملRole of apolipoprotein E in neurodegenerative diseases
Apolipoprotein E (APOE) is a lipid-transport protein abundantly expressed in most neurons in the central nervous system. APOE-dependent alterations of the endocytic pathway can affect different functions. APOE binds to cell-surface receptors to deliver lipids and to the hydrophobic amyloid-β peptide, regulating amyloid-β aggregations and clearances in the brain. Several APOE isoforms with major...
